Had a good stay, but was severely disappointed with the food and the pricing. I was in other Rifugios, this one had the worst dinner by far, and the most expensive beer and water (moreover in 1L bottles, that make even more plastic than the 1.5L). Rooms were ok, views were beautiful.
EDIT TO REPLY: Watered-down soup, gooey "mashed potatoes" from instant powder, and 4 of the thinnest slices of roast ever seen. But that dinner was the same for everybody - complaining would not have made any difference. Regarding water - I am talking about the drinkable - not the one to use for shower or toilets (which was missing in every rifugio)! But if you are sensitive to the plastic consumption, drinkable water should come in bottles of 1.5L, people will drink it. Its price was steep too: Rifugio Mulaz which have bottles delivered with a helicopter, unlike your cable car, charges less (in price per liter). I found it unacceptable.
We absolutely loved staying at Rifugio Velo della Madonna. It was quaint, comfortable, and the staff was helpful with our questions regarding the nearby via ferratas.
We didn’t have a reservation at this hut, but the staff took us in without hesitation. You can tell there is a community here from the family style tables, to watching the sunset together.
This hut wasn’t very busy, as it is off the via Alta route. The rifugios off of the via Alta routes were our favorite!

The hike to reach this place is beautiful, you can reach it following different roads. I chose the panoramic one.
Very good place to have a drink and eat after a long hike. Staff very friendly and the view is amazing.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Rifugio Velo della Madonna last summer. There was no shower and the hike there was not very easy. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay very much. Food was truly delicious and the staff was brilliant! So friendly and helpful!
Well, I was absolutely charmed by this place. Beautiful and calm area, cozy hut, amazing services and we had whole hut for ourselves! Guys were really nice and open to talk, which was interesting and helpful. They definitely offered much more that we expected. Great food and drinks, nice rooms. I am really surprised that not so many people are going there during the week. This hut is number one at this area.

The hikingroads are good, and it is better to use via ferrata gear to reach the hut. Whitout it is to risky..
Had a perfect stay at the Velo Della Madonna hut with On-Trek last summer! Friendly staff and good beds :)
